We have developed a model for general practice which includes a competency framework for practice managers. This course fully teaches the fundamentals of this model in this 4 day course with 4 x 90 minute modules a day. The course is intensive and packed full of practical advice and time to network with colleagues.
Delegates will gain a clear understanding of compliance and how this links to quality of care. Understanding how to create a governance framework and embed systems and run audits will ensure a high level understanding of CQC and its requirements. This module also includes understanding risk management in line with the new CQC inspecting framework
This module is all about understanding who is doing what to achieve the governance framework. Using simple systems such as task lists will help delegates create a system to ensure practice staff know and understand what they are doing and why and how it fits with the successful running of the practice.

This module will be about understanding the future of general practice both now and with upcoming future changes to government and what you can do in your practice to prepare.
The HR module offers practical systems to manage staff including tips for successful recruitment and onboarding to performance management and staff engagement. This module links with developing high performing teams and helps to implement systems to get the best from staff.
Our leadership development module is designed to help delegates build the skills and expertise needed to lead GP practices to success. It includes understanding different leadership styles and using coaching and mentoring to develop team members
We believe its always important to link everything we do back to patients and how they view the service they receive. This module is all about how to use patient feedback and develop strategies to improve and then use this as a tool to improve practice image.
This module is all about understanding how team develop and what you need to do to get the best from your staff. Practical tips and how this links with systems and HR will be apparent.
In order to manage effectively, its essential to be able to track tasks and manage multiple work streams in order to succeed. Here delegates will be shown tools such as project plans and roadmaps and how they can be used to implement successful change.
The final piece of the puzzle when successfully implementing a robust governance framework. This module shows delegates how to run successful audits and implement learning and how it fits in to the wider governance framework and effective systems.
One of the areas we find practices struggle to do is to evidence their quality improvement work. Here delegates will be shown how to identify areas that can be used for quality improvement such as prevalence and how to evidence it.
With so much information and data at our fingertips in general practice its important to understand how to interpret this data and how it can be used to improve practice performance. In this module delegates will create a plan for improving practice performance based on their current position.
One of the greatest skills for anyone working in primary care. Here you will learn the skills needed to effectively manage time including the art of delegation.
With so many staff at burnout in primary care, learning how to be resilient and to make your team resilient is essential. Practice tips and group discussions on tactics will form this module.
Having lots of ideas for change and how to improve the practice can be overwhelming. In this module we will be developing individual business plans to support positive change in practices. This module includes workforce planning.
